Afhandlingen undersøger, hvordan internationalisering påvirker rekruttering i højere uddannelse gennem et casestudie af AAU’s rekruttering til kandidatuddannelser i økonomi og erhvervsadministration. Formålet er at kortlægge AAU’s nuværende rekrutteringspraksis og udarbejde anbefalinger til forbedringer ved at analysere, hvordan studerende vælger universitet, og hvilke faktorer der påvirker deres beslutninger.
