Abstract

This thesis presents "Intensified Concorde Neighborhood," a design proposal to revitalize the Concorde neighborhood, a modern social housing scheme built in the 1950s in Lille, northern France. Drawing on wider discussions about how to renew similar post-war housing areas, the project suggests targeted actions suited to this specific place. The aim is to intensify neighborhood life by strengthening its architecture and green spaces and by improving everyday urban activity. The goal is to make Concorde more inviting for its residents and more appealing to people from the rest of Lille.
