Specialet undersøger, hvordan inddragelse praktiseres og opleves i Ungekoordineringen i Hjørring Kommune. Med et kvalitativt, abduktivt og hermeneutisk inspireret design belyser vi to centrale spørgsmål: hvilke overvejelser rådgivere gør sig, når de inddrager unge, og hvordan de unge selv erfarer inddragelsen—samt hvilke betingelser der har betydning for begge parter. Empirien bygger på fem semistrukturerede interviews (tre med rådgivere og to med unge), analyseret induktivt. Heraf fremkom tre gennemgående temaer: tillid, motivation og relation. For at nuancere fundene anvendes teoretiske perspektiver på tillid, motivation, relationel velfærd og empowerment. Analysen peger på, at gensidig tillid, de unges motivation og et vedvarende relationsarbejde er afgørende for, at inddragelse lykkes og opleves meningsfuld. Rådgiverne orienterer sig samtidig mod de rammer, de unge befinder sig i—både fysiske og kommunale (lovgivning og krav)—og de arbejder bevidst med kropssprog og sprogbrug for at understøtte forståelse og deltagelse. Tid og kontinuitet er centrale for relationsopbygning, og relationen kan skabe handlemuligheder for både unge og rådgivere. Samlet peger studiet på, at inddragelse i praksis er betinget af en balanceret opmærksomhed på relationer, motivation, tillid og de strukturelle rammer, der sætter scenen for samarbejdet.

This thesis examines how inclusion is practiced and experienced within the Youth Coordination initiative in Hjørring Municipality. Using a qualitative, abductive, and hermeneutically inspired design, it addresses two core questions: the considerations counselors make when involving young people and how the youths themselves experience inclusion—and which conditions matter for both. The empirical basis comprises five semi-structured interviews (three with counselors and two with youths), analyzed inductively. Three cross-cutting themes emerged: trust, motivation, and relationship. To deepen the analysis, the study draws on theoretical perspectives on trust, motivation, relational welfare, and empowerment. Findings indicate that mutual trust, youth motivation, and sustained relationship-building are crucial for inclusion to succeed and be experienced as meaningful. Counselors also attend to the youths’ contextual frameworks—both physical and municipal (legislation and requirements)—and deliberately use body language and verbal communication to support understanding and participation. Time and continuity are vital for building relationships, and strong relationships can open up opportunities for both youths and counselors. Overall, the study highlights that effective inclusion in practice depends on a careful balance between relationships, motivation, trust, and the structural conditions that shape collaboration.
