Abstract
Dette speciale præsenterer et praktisk rammeværk for at skabe synergi gennem kaizen-events—korte, fokuserede forbedringsworkshops—i en kultur med løbende forbedringer. Arbejdet var motiveret af en opgave fra Viking Life-Saving Equipment og af behovet for synergi som konkurrencefordel. Rammeværket er udviklet på baggrund af et litteraturstudie. Det kobler kaizen-events til de løbende forbedringsindsatser for at øge synergien og beskriver den støtte, der er nødvendig for at fastholde både løbende forbedringer og selve kaizen-events. Rammeværket blev afprøvet i et casestudie for at vurdere anvendelighed og effekt for en organisation. Resultaterne viser, at litteraturen muliggjorde udviklingen af et rammeværk med højt potentiale for at øge synergi, og casestudiet peger på god mulighed for at styrke synergier.
This thesis presents a practical framework for creating synergy through kaizen events—short, focused improvement workshops—within a culture of continuous improvement. The work was motivated by a task from Viking Life-Saving Equipment and by the broader use of synergy to gain competitive advantage. The framework was developed from a literature review. It aligns kaizen events with ongoing improvement efforts to raise synergy levels and outlines the support needed to sustain continuous improvement and the events themselves. The framework was applied in a case study to assess its usability and effect for an organization. Findings indicate that it is possible, based on the literature, to construct a framework with high potential to increase synergy, and the case study showed good potential for strengthening synergies.
