Abstract
The climate crisis and rising transport emissions are increasing pressure to plan new housing with a focus on sustainable mobility. This thesis examines how sustainable mobility can be implemented alongside housing growth in suburban areas, using Ravnsborg Enge in Køge Municipality as a case. Developed in collaboration with municipal stakeholders and local initiatives, the study starts from the premise that population and housing growth drive transport demand. It clarifies how the relationship between transport, population trends, and housing development should inform planning, and which existing, proposed, and feasible measures can support a sustainable mobility network. The methodology combines literature and policy on sustainable mobility with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), stakeholder interviews, and creative workshops and international benchmarks (including Quartier Vauban and Schoemaker Plantage). Dette speciale undersøger, hvordan bæredygtig mobilitet kan implementeres i forbindelse med boligvækst i forstadsområder med udgangspunkt i Ravnsborg Enge i Køge Kommune. Projektet er udarbejdet i samarbejde med kommunale aktører og lokale initiativer og bygger på en problemforståelse, hvor befolknings- og boligvækst øger transportefterspørgslen. Specialet afklarer, hvordan sammenhængen mellem transport, befolkningsudvikling og boligudbygning bør påvirke planlægningen, og hvilke eksisterende, foreslåede og realistiske løsninger der kan understøtte et bæredygtigt mobilitetsnet.
