Dette eksplorative bachelorprojekt er iværksat i samarbejde med Aalborg Kommunes Grønlænderenhed for at skabe ny viden om udsatte grønlændere i Aalborg. På trods af dansk statsborgerskab og formelle rettigheder modtager tilflyttede grønlændere ingen integrationsindsats, og mange møder sproglige og kulturelle barrierer. Nationale kortlægninger peger på højere risiko for ledighed, lav uddannelse og hjemløshed blandt grønlændere end i befolkningen generelt, og i Aalborg har en stor andel af de hjemløse en grønlandsk baggrund. Projektet retter sig mod to spørgsmål: om udsathed er til stede før flytningen, og hvem målgruppen er lokalt. Med et brugercentreret, eksplorativt design, der kobler eksisterende litteratur og statistik med kvalitative interviews af repræsentanter for målgruppen, tilstræber projektet at indfange de berørtes egne perspektiver på migrationens push- og pull-faktorer, sproglige og kulturelle udfordringer samt mødet med velfærdssystemet. Målgruppen afgrænses til grønlændere i Aalborg Kommune med erfaringer med udsathed. Denne indledende del præsenterer baggrund, problemfelt, forskningsspørgsmål og metodevalg; resultater indgår ikke i det foreliggende uddrag.

This exploratory bachelor project, initiated in collaboration with Aalborg Municipality’s Greenlander Unit, seeks new insight into socially vulnerable Greenlanders in Aalborg. Despite Danish citizenship and formal rights, newcomers from Greenland receive no integration support and many face language and cultural barriers. National mappings indicate higher risks of unemployment, low education, and homelessness among Greenlanders than in the general population, and in Aalborg a notable share of people experiencing homelessness have a Greenlandic background. The project addresses two questions: whether vulnerability predates migration and who the local target group is. Using an exploratory, user-centered design that combines existing literature and statistics with qualitative interviews with representatives of the group, the study aims to capture first-person perspectives on push and pull motives for migration, language and cultural challenges, and encounters with the welfare system. The target group is delimited to Greenlanders in Aalborg Municipality with experiences of social vulnerability. This opening section sets out the background, problem area, research questions, and methodological choices; findings are not included in the present excerpt.
