Abstract

Dette speciale undersøger, hvordan universiteter kan tiltrække og fastholde studerende i et globalt uddannelsesmarked med Aalborg Universitet som casestudie. Formålet er at give en helhedsforståelse af studerendes rejse fra beslutningen om at studere i udlandet til fastholdelse på universitetet ved at koble tiltrækningskriterier, tilfredshed og fastholdelse. På baggrund af en litteraturgennemgang udvikles et konceptuelt rammeværk med tre kategorier af vurderingskriterier – akademiske, sociale og økonomiske – som afprøves i en spørgeskemaundersøgelse blandt bachelor- og kandidatstuderende ved Aalborg Universitet; betydning og tilfredshed analyseres med gennemsnitsanalyse. Resultaterne i uddraget viser, at de vigtigste kriterier for både tiltrækning og fastholdelse er fremtidig relevans for karrieren, god karriereforberedelse og høj uddannelseskvalitet, mens campusstørrelse og kort afstand til hjemmet vægtes mindst. This thesis examines how universities can attract and retain students in a global higher education market, using Aalborg University as a case study. The aim is to provide a holistic view of the student journey from the decision to study abroad to retention by linking attraction criteria, satisfaction, and retention.
