Abstract

I mit speciale undersøger jeg, hvordan kunstig intelligens påvirker gymnasieelevers dannelse og historiefagets rammer. For at undersøge dette har jeg sammenlignet de faglige mål for hi-storiefaget og den digitale dannelse, som eleverne skal opnå i det almene gymnasium. Min undersøgelse viser, at eleverne bruger kunstig intelligens på en måde, hvor de ikke gennemgår den undersøgelsesproces, som historiefaget kræver. Derfor opnår de ikke de ønskede kompe-tencer. GenAI kan dog blive benyttet positivt og integreres i undervisningen, hvis det bliver brugt på en måde, hvor eleverne lærer at reflektere over anvendelsen. GenAI kan ligeledes benyttes til at udvikle elevernes produktionskompetencer.

Abstract This project explores the relationship between artificial intelligence and the Danish educations system. This study is rooted in a personal desire to understand the effect that arti-ficial intelligence, like generative AI, has on students today. The research is based on a mixed-methods design combining survey results from 342 students (from STX) with qualita-tive interviews with professionals. The results showed that artificial intelligence is widespread among the students. They use it for information searching and organising notes. However, the results also indicate that many students lack the necessary critical reflection and source-evaluative awareness when interacting with AI systems. This lack of reflection affects their ability to engage with key disciplinary practices such as source criticism and historical reason-ing. The result does not only reflect negative interaction. They do show that artificial intelli-gence has significant potential if used properly. The students must be guided, and they must have an understanding of the technology when using it. This can also create a positive effect on their ability to create and produce history.
