Abstract

Dette speciale undersøger, hvordan bæredygtige bevægelser og iværksætteri kan mødes og arbejde sammen. Vi sammenligner virksomheder med lokale, græsrodsdrevne initiativer og vurderer mulighederne for samarbejde. Undersøgelsen bygger på interviews med deltagere fra fire forskellige bevægelser inden for bæredygtighed: frivillige, iværksættere og virksomhedsrepræsentanter, hvis forretning er knyttet til bevægelsens formål. Vi spurgte til deres motivation, deres (frivillige) arbejde, deres syn på andre aktører og deres holdning til vækst. Resultaterne viser, at samarbejde mellem græsrodsinitiativer og bæredygtige iværksættere inden for samme bevægelse er muligt og kan antage flere former. Specialet giver konkrete anbefalinger til, hvordan samarbejdet kan lykkes, og peger på de gevinster, det kan give hver gruppe. Derudover undersøger vi græsrodsinitiativer, der bruger en forretningsmodel som en hybrid, der kombinerer elementer fra både bevægelse og virksomhed.

This thesis examines how sustainability movements and entrepreneurship can connect and work together. We compare companies with community-led grassroots initiatives and assess opportunities for collaboration. The study is based on interviews with participants from four different sustainability-related movements: volunteers, entrepreneurs, and company representatives whose businesses are linked to the movement's goals. We asked about their motivations, their (voluntary) work, their views of other actors, and their attitudes toward growth. The findings show that collaboration between grassroots initiatives and sustainable entrepreneurs within the same movement is possible and can take several forms. The thesis offers practical recommendations for successful collaboration and highlights the benefits for each group. It also explores grassroots initiatives that adopt a business model as a hybrid that combines elements of both a movement and a company.
