Specialet undersøger fodboldens retsforhold med fokus på, hvilken status, hvilke rettigheder og hvilke vilkår professionelle spillere og klubber har under de regler, der fastsættes af FIFA, UEFA og DBU. Udgangspunktet er en præsentation af organisationernes struktur og overordnede regelsæt, efterfulgt af analyser af centrale bestemmelser som spillerstatus (professionel vs. amatør), registrering, kontraktstabilitet, træningskompensation, solidaritetsbidrag, beskyttelse af mindreårige samt FIFA’s Transfer Matching System. Desuden behandles UEFA’s Club Licensing og Financial Fair Play samt den danske standardspillerkontrakt. Anvendt metode omfatter en systematisk gennemgang af retskilder og en praksisbaseret analyse, hvor typiske konfliktpunkter belyses gennem afgørelser og voldgift (bl.a. CAS) samt nationale tvister. Formålet er at klarlægge, hvilke regler der i praksis har størst betydning for spillere og klubber i en international og national kontekst. This thesis examines the legal framework of football, focusing on the status, rights, and conditions of professional players and clubs under rules set by FIFA, UEFA, and the Danish FA (DBU).
