Abstract
This thesis examines the “Manosphere,” a loose online ecosystem of male-focused websites and forums that often display hostility toward women. It focuses on two Men’s Rights Activism (MRA) groups as case studies, as they are often seen as a gateway to more extreme ideologies. These groups oppose feminist agendas, which they portray as promoting female domination. Using thematic analysis—a systematic method for identifying recurring themes in content—the study investigates how MRAs on MensActivism.org and Justice for Men and Boys try to attract new supporters. The aim is to shed light on the consequences of this phenomenon in both digital spaces and everyday life. The analysis identifies six distinct strategies used by these groups.
