Abstract
Dette studie bruger computersimulationer til at undersøge, hvordan forskellige måder at udsende beskeder på fungerer i mobile ad hoc-netværk (MANET'er), hvor enheder forbinder direkte uden fast infrastruktur. Vi sammenligner fire udsendelsesprotokoller og to generiske protokoludvidelser i netværkssimulatoren ns2. Resultaterne viser, at udsendelse via OLSR's multipoint relays (MPR'er) giver den bedste samlede ydeevne. Vi finder også, at det at indføre jitter – små tilfældige forsinkelser – i datatrafikken forbedrer leveringsraten. For at gennemføre studiet effektivt udviklede vi en ramme, der automatiserer simulationsforløbet fra specifikation af scenarieparametre til visualisering af resultater, hvilket markant reducerer den manuelle indsats.
This study uses computer simulations to examine how different ways of broadcasting messages work in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), where devices connect directly without fixed infrastructure. We compare four broadcast protocols and two general protocol extensions using the ns2 network simulator. The results show that broadcasting through OLSR's multipoint relays (MPRs) offers the best overall performance. We also find that adding jitter—small random delays—to data traffic improves the message delivery rate. To run these studies efficiently, we built a framework that automates the simulation workflow, from specifying scenario parameters to visualizing results, which significantly reduces manual effort.
