Specialet undersøger, i hvilket omfang euroskepsis—skepsis over for den Europæiske Union—er et flerdimensionelt fænomen, der kan påvirke EU’s integrationsproces. Det ser også på, om euroskepsis tager forskellige former i de enkelte medlemslande, og om dens udtryk forandres over tid. Målet er at gøre det klarere, hvordan variationer i euroskepsis kan hænge sammen med tempoet og retningen for europæisk integration.
