Abstract
This thesis looks further into the recent developing immigration policy of the EU. Through Realist federalism and external governance theory the connections between externalisation of immigration measures and further common policy is debated. This paper examines further how EUs norms and rules regarding illegal immigration might also influence on teh developments of immigration policy. Finally this thesis discusses the developments of immigration policy in relation to the recent developments in the middle east of the arabian spring rebvolutions.
