Projektet undersøger, hvordan museumshjemmesider er designet ud fra et usability- og Information Architecture-perspektiv med henblik på at identificere gennemgående mønstre og afklare, om der findes en grundlæggende designstandard. Metodisk omfatter studiet et systematisk litteraturreview (bl.a. via Web of Science og Scopus) samt en grundlæggende IA-analyse af syv kunstmuseers og syv kulturhistoriske museers websites med fokus på organisations-, labeling-, navigations- og søgesystemer, suppleret af perspektiver fra Information Ecology og en usability inspection. This project investigates the design of museum websites from a usability and Information Architecture perspective, aiming to identify recurring patterns and determine whether a fundamental design standard exists.
