Abstract
Afhandlingen udspringer af spørgsmålet: Hvad gør et byggeprojekt succesfuldt? En indledende forundersøgelse peger på betydningen af procesværdier – principper, der styrer, hvordan arbejdet planlægges og samarbejdet foregår. På den baggrund gennemføres en kvantitativ grovanalyse, hvor aktører i den nordjyske byggebranche tager stilling til hypoteser formuleret ud fra disse procesværdier. Resultaterne fører til den endelige problemformulering: Hvilke tiltag kan sikre bedre anvendelse af entreprenørens viden i de tidlige faser af byggeprocessen? For at besvare dette udføres en kvalitativ detailanalyse med data fra relevante interessenter i den nordjyske byggebranche. Analysen belyser mulige årsager til og virkninger af, at entreprenørens viden ikke udnyttes fuldt ud, og munder ud i en diagnosticering samt forslag til løsninger. På denne baggrund præsenteres et løsningsforslag på tre niveauer, hvor værdibaseret samarbejde fremstår som den overordnede anbefaling. Afslutningsvis diskuteres, hvad afhandlingens resultater kan bidrage med til byggebranchen, samt undersøgelsens reliabilitet og validitet. Afhandlingen rundes af med konklusion, perspektivering og refleksion.
The thesis starts from the question: What makes a construction project successful? An initial scoping study points to the importance of process values—principles that guide how work is planned and how collaboration is carried out. Based on this, a high-level quantitative analysis gathers views from the North Jutland construction industry on hypotheses derived from these process values. The findings lead to the main research question: Which initiatives can ensure better use of contractors’ knowledge in the early phases of the construction process? To address this, a qualitative in-depth analysis is conducted using data from stakeholders in the North Jutland construction industry. The analysis highlights possible causes and effects of the insufficient use of contractors’ knowledge and concludes with a diagnosis and proposed measures. On this basis, a solution is developed at three levels, with value-based collaboration presented as the overarching recommendation. Finally, the thesis discusses its contribution to the construction industry and assesses the study’s reliability and validity. It ends with the conclusion, a forward-looking perspective, and a retrospective reflection.
