Abstract

Hastighedsprofilen i kaviteten måles for at karakterisere luftstrømningen.

This project develops a model to calculate the g-value of a glazing system that includes Venetian blinds. The g-value describes how much solar energy passes through the window. The model is based on a review of existing literature and laboratory experiments. Two main aspects are investigated: (1) the shading factor of the Venetian blinds, meaning how much they reduce solar transmission, and (2) the exterior heat transfer coefficient on the outside of the glazing, which changes with airflow when shading is used compared with no shading. In the experiments, only the slat angle is varied, while the theoretical models account for both the angle of incoming radiation and the slat angle. The velocity profile in the cavity is measured to identify the type of airflow. Solar radiation through the window, with and without shading, is measured to calculate the shading factor. The theoretical models are evaluated and compared with laboratory measurements.
