I 2011 lancerede flere store bilproducenter nye elbilmodeller. Samtidig undersøgte den danske ø Samsø, hvordan transport kan integreres i øens energisystem. Dette casestudie viser, at design af energisystemer kræver opmærksomhed på både tekniske løsninger og institutionelle forhold, såsom regler, organisationer og koordinering.
In 2011, several major car manufacturers introduced new electric car models. At the same time, the Danish island of Samsø explored how to integrate transport into its energy system.
