Abstract
As virtual reality (VR) becomes more widespread, it is important to understand how different camera perspectives and interaction approaches shape the experience. This study compares first-person views (seeing through a character’s eyes) and third-person views (seeing the character from an external camera) in VR. It uses both conventional tasks and game-like (gamified) tasks to investigate user preferences and how effective each perspective is perceived to be in virtual environments.
Den stigende udbredelse af virtual reality (VR) gør det vigtigt at forstå, hvordan forskellige kameraperspektiver og interaktionsmåder påvirker oplevelsen. Dette studie sammenligner førsteperson (at se gennem figurens øjne) og tredjeperson (at se figuren udefra) i VR. Der bruges både konventionelle opgaver og spil-lignende (gamificerede) opgaver til at undersøge brugerpræferencer og hvor effektivt hvert perspektiv opleves i virtuelle miljøer.
