Abstract

This thesis explores how young Danish couples negotiate when they move in together and share a home. It focuses on how they decide what belongs in the home and how everyday life should work (for example, furnishings, belongings, and routines). The thesis asks how these negotiations express a balance between the identities of 'I' and 'we', shape the couple’s relationship, and relate to gender and gender roles.
