Abstract
This master’s thesis project deals with the control and the regulation of the temperature inside the fermentor of a biogas demonstration system. The project consists of a complete engineering approach through identification of problems, the modeling of the system, the designing of the control solution, its implementation and the discussion of results. The model, representing the thermal transfers, was implemented in Simulink for analysis purposes and the solution was implemented using the LabView software. The advantages and drawbacks of the new solution are discussed and several avenues of improvement are suggested to.
