Denne afhandling undersøger, hvordan "just-in-time" overtalende beskeder – leveret i det gunstige øjeblik (kairos) – kan påvirke brugeres beslutninger. For at kunne gribe sådanne øjeblikke skal IKT (informations- og kommunikationsteknologi) først kunne registrere dem, hvilket er en central udfordring i persuasive teknologi. Forfatteren argumenterer for, at begreber fra Bayesianske netværk og tidsforståelser kan hjælpe med at designe tidsfølsomme informationssystemer, der kan vurdere en brugers sandsynlige næste handling.
