Abstract
This thesis is focus on the “culture shock” issue when youth students attend intercultural exchange program and encounter cultural differences in new environment. In host country, these students are hosted by local families, which provided them a good opportunity to be close to natives and learn the local culture. During this period of time, the students have to deal with psychological uncomfortableness when going through the “cultural shock”, and gain the abilities of self-adaption, problem solving, and interpersonal communication. Therefore, how will “culture shock” influence on youth students, and to what degree the “culture shock” could be prepared is the question we are interested in.
