Abstract
Many methods for developing information systems were created in countries with cultures different from Kenya's. Because these methods carry assumptions about how people work and make decisions in their country of origin, they may not fit other cultural settings. This study uses Hofstede's five-dimensional model—a framework for comparing national cultures—to examine Kenyan culture and identify an information systems development approach that aligns with Kenya's cultural context.
