Dette speciale undersøger, hvordan kulturelle forskelle kan skabe samarbejdsudfordringer, når en fransk og en dansk entreprenør indgår partnering om et byggeprojekt. Undersøgelsen afgrænses til pladsledere - de personer, der har ansvar for den daglige drift på byggepladsen - som arbejder sammen i et konsortium (et fælles team oprettet til et konkret projekt). This thesis explores how cultural differences can lead to cooperation challenges when a French and a Danish contractor enter a partnering arrangement on a construction project. The study is delimited to site managers—the people responsible for day-to-day work on the construction site—working together in a consortium (a joint team formed for a specific project). The research first clarifies what is meant by culture to define the lens of analysis. It then compares national cultures in France and Denmark to identify differences that could become obstacles to collaboration. Finally, it considers organizational culture within the companies to understand additional challenges that may affect teamwork among site managers.
