Abstract

This project explores how to design a highly multi-functional arena in Ørestaden, Copenhagen—an area undergoing rapid development between housing, sports halls, and businesses. The goal is to create a building that can support many different uses while taking a sustainable approach to the site. The work is guided by an extensive brief from a design competition and by numerous technical requirements that must be met. The proposal therefore addresses the surrounding context, the building’s relationship to the site, and the design of a flexible, multi-functional structure.
