Afhandlingen undersøger praksisser i byggebranchen i Danmark og Indien og hvordan teknologi og ledelsesmetoder kan bruges til at forbedre projekter i Indien. De to lande har forskellige historiske og politiske vilkår, så en direkte sammenligning er ikke enkel. Danmark er kendt for tidlig ibrugtagning af nye teknologier og for veludviklede, institutionelle udviklingsstrategier i byggeledelse. I Indien har uddannelsessektoren udviklet sig markant, men byggebranchen er mange steder præget af ældre arbejdsgange og ujævn udbredelse af teknologi og udviklingsstrategier. Afhandlingen analyserer, hvilken betydning teknologier og moderne danske byggeledelsesmetoder kan få for den indiske byggebranche, og hvordan de kan tilpasses lokale forhold. Målet er at pege på praktiske tiltag, der kan styrke planlægning og gennemførsel af byggeprojekter i Indien ved at lære af danske erfaringer.

This thesis examines practices in the construction industries of Denmark and India and how technology and management methods can improve projects in India. The two countries have different historical and political contexts, so a direct comparison is not straightforward. Denmark is known for early adoption of new technologies and for well-established, institutional development strategies in construction management. In India, the education sector has expanded rapidly, but the construction industry in many areas still relies on older practices and shows uneven uptake of technology and development strategies. The thesis analyzes how technologies and modern Danish construction management techniques could benefit the Indian construction sector and how they can be adapted to local conditions. The aim is to identify practical steps that can strengthen the planning and delivery of construction projects in India by learning from Danish experience.
