Abstract
The project focuses on the melodic auditory displays at train stations which is inspired by the ones in Japan.The project will include the design of the melodic alarms with considerations of the musical and the acoustic features.The design prototypes will be tested in listening test that spot the light on the musical features influences on learn-ability and preferences. This project is an attempt to investigate the possible ways in improving the efficacy of the melodic alarms , which can be an interest for music composers , researchers ,and industrial designers
