Abstract
Climate change is one of the major challenges of our time, and many people turn to Wikipedia for information. This study examines how climate change is covered on the English and Nordic-language Wikipedias. The methods combine semi-structured interviews with Wikipedia editors (guided conversations with set themes) and data collected through Wikipedia’s API (a technical interface for automatically retrieving page information). The findings show information asymmetries between the English and Nordic editions, with substantial differences in content. The English Wikipedia is more thoroughly maintained and contains higher-quality climate-related material than the Nordic editions.
