Abstract
Den hastige befolkningstilvækst og det stigende pres på naturens ressourcer øger risikoen for kriser. Vi har brug for nye måder at producere og forbruge på. Den cirkulære økonomi tilbyder en vej til en regenerativ økonomi ved at designe affald ud af systemet, holde materialer i kredsløb og understøtte naturens gendannelse. Den foreslår at redesigne produkter, så materialer kan genbruges, repareres eller genanvendes efter brug, at skifte til vedvarende energi og at udfase giftige stoffer, der skader miljøet. Målet er smartere forretningsmodeller, der prioriterer holdbarhed, reparation, genbrug og genanvendelse. Rapid population growth and increasing pressure on natural resources raise the risk of crises. We need new ways to produce and consume. The circular economy offers an approach to a regenerative economy by designing waste out of the system, keeping materials in use, and restoring natural systems. It calls for redesigning products so materials can be reused, repaired, or recycled after use, shifting to renewable energy, and phasing out toxic substances that harm the environment. The aim is smarter business models that prioritize durability, repair, reuse, and recycling. This thesis explains the concept of the circular economy and, through examples and existing studies, examines its potential to influence and reshape the current linear take-make-dispose system.
