Abstract

This master’s thesis presents a design for an activity-based rehabilitation camp for children and families affected by childhood cancer, set in the scenic Mols Bjerge National Park. The camp is intended to support children and young people as they recover after cancer treatment and gradually return to everyday life. The project is grounded in two themes: healing architecture—designing spaces that promote well-being and recovery—and sustainability, ensuring the camp works with its environment. By responding to the local landscape and climate, the proposal creates places that foster community, offer playful and active experiences, and provide quiet areas for immersion and reflection.
