Abstract

This thesis examines how knowledge management can support teachers’ professional development in Romanian high schools, using Mircea Eliade High School in Galați as the case. Drawing on information architecture and knowledge management literature (including Nonaka & Takeuchi), it reviews processes for capturing, codifying, sharing, and applying knowledge, and the role of organizational culture and tools. The study addresses: how to identify the elements and design a knowledge management strategy, what knowledge management means in general and in education, how to elicit management and teachers’ needs, and how to generate ideas for an online platform. Methodologically, it uses qualitative interviews with the principal and four teachers from the Language and Communication Department; interviews were transcribed, meaning-condensed, and coded within a participatory, user-driven approach. The outcome is a context-specific strategy proposal and an Axure prototype of an Edu Moodle online platform, sketched from teachers’ practices and needs to ease access to knowledge, support daily challenges, and foster continuous learning. Denne afhandling undersøger, hvordan vidensledelse kan styrke læreres professionelle udvikling i rumænske gymnasier, med fokus på Mircea Eliade Gymnasium i Galați. Med udgangspunkt i teorier fra informationsarkitektur og vidensledelse (bl.a. Nonaka & Takeuchi) gennemgås processer for indsamling, kodificering, deling og anvendelse af viden samt betydningen af organisatorisk kultur og værktøjer. Studiet adresserer disse spørgsmål: hvordan identificeres elementer og udarbejdes en vidensledelsesstrategi, hvad forstås ved vidensledelse generelt og i uddannelse, hvordan identificeres ledelsens og lærernes behov, og hvordan genereres ideer til en onlineplatform. Metodisk bygger arbejdet på kvalitative interviews med skolelederen og fire lærere fra afdelingen for Sprog og Kommunikation; interviewene blev transskriberet, meningskondenseret og kodet i en brugerinddragende, deltagerorienteret tilgang. Resultatet er et kontekstspecificeret strategiforslag og en Axure-prototype af en Edu Moodle-onlineplatform, skitseret ud fra lærernes praksis og behov for at lette adgang til viden, støtte daglige udfordringer og fremme kontinuerlig læring.
