Abstract

Denne kandidatafhandling præsenterer udviklingen af Cartish, en vognbaseret løsning til fremtidens sikkerhedskontrol i lufthavne, der skal reducere passagerernes stress med særligt fokus på familier. Sikkerhedskontrollen er ofte rejsens mest stressende del: Rejsende skal skille ejendele ad og samtidig håndtere børn under tidspres, mens lufthavne både skal sikre hurtig gennemstrømning og et højt sikkerhedsniveau. Stigende passagertal og flere kontroltrin gør balancen vanskeligere. Cartish er en vogn, der flytter familier ud af den almindelige kø og giver dem ekstra tid og plads til at forberede sig og gå igennem kontrollen i fællesskab. Målet er at gøre forløbet til en koordineret, fælles oplevelse i stedet for en forhastet opgave. For lufthavne understøtter Cartish desuden sporing af passagerbevægelser gennem kontrollen og giver nyttig viden om, hvordan faciliteterne bliver brugt.

This master’s thesis presents the development of Cartish, a cart-based solution for future airport security checkpoints aimed at reducing passenger stress, with a special focus on families. Security screening is often the most stressful part of flying: travelers must separate belongings and manage children under time pressure, while airports need to keep people moving quickly and maintain high safety standards. Rising passenger volumes and added screening steps make this balance harder. Cartish is a cart that takes families out of the regular security line, giving them extra time and space to prepare and pass through screening together. The goal is to turn the checkpoint into a coordinated, shared experience rather than a rushed task. For airports, Cartish also supports tracking of passenger movement through the checkpoint, providing useful information about how facilities are used.
