Abstract
Dette projekt udvikler et værktøjssæt til Unity-spilmotoren, der gør det lettere at bygge et komplet, funktionelt spilkamera—det system, der styrer, hvordan spilleren ser spilverdenen. Kameraer i populære spil og nyere studier blev analyseret for at identificere de vigtigste funktioner, som derefter blev samlet og implementeret i et værktøjssæt. This project develops a toolset for the Unity game engine to make it easier to build a complete, functional game camera—the system that controls how players see the game world. Cameras in popular games and recent studies were analyzed to identify essential features, which were then grouped and implemented in a toolset. The user interface was designed with usability principles, with game designers as the primary users rather than programmers. The project was planned for delivery in June 2011. Both authors participated as game programmers in the March 2011 DADIU production, where the completed tool was tested extensively. The tool was subsequently evaluated based on how it was used in the productions. The DADIU production showed advantages of having the CameraTool in a production environment and of shifting camera setup work from programmers to game designers.
