Specialet undersøger implementeringen af Bygningsinformationsmodellering (BIM) i et anlægsprojekt hos en offentlig bygherre gennem en casestudie. Formålet er at identificere, hvilke interne barrierer i projektorganisationen der hindrer, at BIM bliver taget i brug. Undersøgelsen viser, at barriererne primært er af praktisk karakter i det daglige arbejde. Med et socioteknisk perspektiv (hvor teknologi, mennesker og organisation ses som tæt forbundne) analyseres, hvordan forskellige aktørers fortolkninger og relationer til BIM skaber ubalance i forandringsprocessen og gør det vanskeligt at stabilisere anvendelsen. Specialet belyser også, hvordan den strategiske fokus i implementeringen har påvirket, i hvilken grad projektorganisationen har adopteret BIM i deres daglige praksis.
This thesis examines the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in an infrastructure project at a public client through a case study. The aim is to identify internal barriers within the project organization that hinder the adoption of BIM. The study finds that the barriers are mainly practical in everyday work. Using a sociotechnical perspective (viewing technology, people, and organization as closely interlinked), it analyzes how different actors’ interpretations and relationships to BIM create imbalance in the change process and make it difficult to stabilize its use. The thesis also highlights how the strategic focus of the implementation has influenced the extent to which the project organization adopts BIM in daily practice.
