Abstract
Dette speciale beskriver udviklingen af Beer Academy, et hjemmebrygningssæt målrettet nybegyndere. Målet var at finde et underbetjent marked ved at kortlægge trends; analysen pegede på hjemmebryg af øl. En konkurrentanalyse viste et potentiale for udstyr til fans, der aldrig har brygget før—løsninger, der sænker startbarrieren og samtidig gør det muligt for brugeren at lære og forbedre sig over tid. Projektet blev løbende formet af seks repræsentanter fra målgruppen og af eksperter fra Søgaard Bryghus. Produktforslaget er udviklet gennem en iterativ, integreret proces med gentagne runder af design og forbedringer. Resultatet præsenteres i den tilhørende produktrapport. Arbejdet er udført af Humlebierne som led i deres kandidatuddannelse i Industrielt Design på Aalborg Universitet og munder ud i nyt hjemmebrygningsudstyr til begyndere.
This thesis describes the development of Beer Academy, a home-brewing kit for beginners. The goal was to identify an underserved market by mapping trends; this pointed to home beer brewing. A competitor analysis revealed potential in equipment for fans who have never brewed before—solutions that lower the barrier to getting started while helping users learn and improve over time. The project was shaped throughout by six user representatives from the target group and by experts from Søgaard Brewery. The product proposal was developed through an iterative, integrated process with repeated cycles of design and refinement. The outcome is presented in the accompanying product report. The work was carried out by Humlebierne as part of their master’s in Industrial Design at Aalborg University and results in new home-brewing equipment for novice beer fans.
