Abstract
In renovation projects today, a key concern is the design of Indoor Environment (IE). To do IE- simulation and calculation (analysis) specific data is needed. The primary data needed is geometric data, which currently is acquired through use of handheld lasers or tape measuring, documented manually on paper or digitally. Au-tomated data transfer between measuring tools and data processing software is how-ever not common practise for IE- consultants in the Danish building industry. To optimize this process, this report, and the study it contains propose a methodol-ogy to help select the right handheld laser, data processing software and how to use such, in order to automate the data acquisition. The research question answered in this report is: How can data for IE- analysis and simulation be collected through Automated Data Acquisition (ADA)?
