Abstract

Denne kandidatafhandling af gruppe MSc04 Ark 12 foreslår designet af et autonomt, bæredygtigt hotel i Åse, Norge. Med autonomt mener vi et hotel, der kan fungere med høj grad af selvforsyning og samtidig reducere sin miljøpåvirkning. Selvom Norge er et rigt og udviklet land, ser vi, at det halter efter de øvrige skandinaviske lande inden for bæredygtigt byggeri. Vi vil skabe et flagskibsprojekt, der viser, hvordan kvalitetsarkitektur og bæredygtighed kan gå hånd i hånd og inspirere til mere bæredygtige livsformer. This master’s thesis by group MSc04 Ark 12 proposes the design of an autonomous, sustainable hotel in Åse, Norway. By autonomous, we mean a hotel that can operate with a high degree of self-sufficiency while minimizing its environmental footprint. Although Norway is a wealthy, developed country, we observe that it lags behind other Scandinavian countries in sustainable building. We aim to create a flagship project that shows how quality architecture and sustainability can work together and encourage more sustainable living. We believe sustainable architecture succeeds when it is recognized and valued, so we give equal priority to architectural quality and sustainability. Åse and its surroundings offer remarkable, largely untouched nature. Our goal is a hotel that meets contemporary guest needs without imposing itself on the landscape, allowing the building to blend respectfully into its setting.
