Abstract
Formålet med dette studie var at undersøge, om emnerne seksualitet og seksuel sundhed bliver taget op i Oslo Fængsel. Undersøgelsen tog udgangspunkt i WHO’s definition af seksuel sundhed (fysisk, følelsesmæssig, mental og social trivsel i relation til seksualitet) og den biopsykosociale model (som ser biologiske, psykologiske og sociale forhold i sammenhæng). Fem ansatte med forskellige uddannelsesbaggrunde deltog i kvalitative interviews, som blev transskriberet og analyseret. Resultaterne viser, at indsattes seksualitet og seksuelle sundhed generelt ikke prioriteres, bortset fra enkelte specifikke områder. Mulige forklaringer omfatter tabu, magtforhold og en oplevet mangel på kompetence.
This study examined whether the topics of sexuality and sexual health are addressed in Oslo Prison. It drew on the WHO definition of sexual health (physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being related to sexuality) and the bio-psycho-social model (which considers biological, psychological, and social factors together). Five employees with different educational backgrounds took part in qualitative interviews that were transcribed and analyzed. The findings indicate that inmates’ sexuality and sexual health are generally not prioritized, except in a few specific areas. Suggested reasons include taboo, power dynamics, and a perceived lack of competence.
