This bachelor thesis is a theoretical exploration and reflection on attachment theory, primarily drawing on John Bowlby, with a focus on how therapeutic change can be promoted by working with attachment in psychotherapy. Through a systematic review of classic and contemporary literature, it highlights key concepts such as internal working models, the therapeutic relationship, and the therapist’s role as a secure base and safe haven.
