Abstract

Denne afhandling gennemgår de aktuelle debatter om 5G‑mobilnet – den femte generation af mobilteknologi – og ser på, hvordan Huawei står i forhold til andre teknologivirksomheder. Den bygger på en gennemgang af standarder og litteratur samt interviews med uafhængige eksperter. Målet er at give en grundig analyse af 5G, dets praktiske konsekvenser og de vigtigste aktører, der medvirker til udviklingen. Undersøgelsen er opdelt i to dele. Første del forklarer, hvordan 5G‑standarder bliver til gennem standardiseringsprocesser. Anden del giver et overblik over mobilbranchen i dag og vurderer, hvor langt udrulningen af 5G er kommet.
