Abstract

This project explores how to design a digital, AI-supported journaling system to support people with ADHD traits, including both clinically diagnosed and self-identified individuals. The short-term study ran over 10–14 days with 13 participants, 11 of whom completed the final interview. The research was mainly qualitative, based on phenomenologically inspired interviews that focused on the participants’ own experiences. The interview material was examined using thematic analysis, a method that looks for recurring themes across participants. The findings suggest that users may see value in the system for self-reflection, understanding themselves better, increasing motivation, and managing everyday challenges. The project also identifies key design considerations for future versions of the system: ensuring technical stability and reliability, allowing the system to adapt dynamically to each user over time, and addressing important ethical aspects such as privacy and data handling.

Dette projekt undersøger, hvordan man kan designe et digitalt, AI-understøttet journalføringssystem, der kan støtte mennesker med ADHD-træk – både personer med diagnose og dem, der selv oplever at have sådanne træk. I et kort studie over 10–14 dage deltog 13 personer, hvoraf 11 gennemførte det afsluttende interview. Undersøgelsen var primært kvalitativ og byggede på interviews inspireret af fænomenologi, som vil sige, at der blev fokuseret på deltagernes egne oplevelser. Materialet blev analyseret ved hjælp af tematisk analyse, hvor man leder efter gennemgående temaer på tværs af interviewene.
