Abstract
Dette speciale undersøger, hvordan kunstig intelligens (AI) kan integreres i designarbejde, og om teknologien kan hjælpe designere med at arbejde hurtigere, mindske gentagende opgaver og bedre begrunde deres designbeslutninger. Gennem desk research (gennemgang af eksisterende viden og værktøjer) og kvantitativ forskning (analyse af talbaserede data) kortlægges konkrete anvendelser af AI og placeres i forskellige faser af en typisk designproces. Anvendelserne samles i en række brugsscenarier og visualiseres i et diagram, der viser, hvor de er mest relevante; tilsammen udgør de en AI-forstærket model for designprocessen. Specialet lægger samtidig vægt på menneske‑AI‑samarbejde og drøfter, hvad det betyder for menneskecentreret design samt de etiske overvejelser, der følger med. Der foreslås en opdeling mellem opgaver, hvor AI med fordel kan hjælpe, og opgaver, der bør forblive rent menneskelige. Til sidst vurderer designpraktikere løsningen for at belyse dens anvendelighed i praksis. Den endelige værktøjskasse præsenteres sammen med refleksioner over arbejdet.
This thesis explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated into design work and asks whether it can help designers work faster, reduce repetitive tasks, and better explain and justify their design decisions. Through desk research (a review of existing knowledge and tools) and quantitative research (analysis of numerical data), the study identifies practical AI applications and maps them to different stages of a typical design process. These applications are compiled as use cases and visualized in a diagram showing where each is most relevant; together, they form an AI-augmented design process model. The thesis also emphasizes human–AI collaboration and discusses its implications for human-centred design and the related ethical considerations. It proposes a division between tasks where AI can effectively assist and tasks that should remain entirely human. Finally, design practitioners evaluate the solution to assess its real-world relevance. The final toolkit is presented alongside reflections on the work.
