Abstract

Clinical research sites (organizations that run clinical trials) are central to medical research, yet little is known about how they adopt new technologies. This thesis examines how Danish clinical research sites adopt technological innovations during trials. The study uses a qualitative approach based on case studies of two technologies and input from multiple stakeholders involved in the process. Drawing on innovation theories, it identifies key factors that influence adoption at the site level and offers practical recommendations to overcome common obstacles and support more effective implementation.
