Abstract
This thesis employs a pedagogical psychological approach in an attempt to understand ADHD partly as a product of our time by focusing on how the learning environment in school can be said to contribute to the identification and categorizing of certain behaviors as signs of ADHD. Furthermore the role of the teacher in this identification process is explored focusing on how the teacher can be said to play a part in this by contributing to the status quo in school.
