Abstract
Lægers vigtigste mål er at sikre patientsikkerhed og begrænse fejl. IT kan hjælpe ved at give overblik over patienters medicin. FMK, en national database med medicinoplysninger, blev udviklet for at lette samarbejdet mellem læger på tværs af sektorer. Indførelsen har dog været vanskelig, og systemet bruges ikke ensartet. In this project, we assessed the status of implementation by looking at the percentage of updated medication lists at local, regional, and national levels. To understand doctors’ views, we conducted interviews with physicians at Vendsyssel Hospital, Hjørring. Because FMK is intended to reduce errors, we also examined rates of medical and medication errors. The results show that the target of 100% updates has not been met. Doctors think FMK is a good idea, but they currently do not trust the information to be accurate because the system is not used consistently. Many are unsure about which tasks they are responsible for in FMK. The rollout was experienced as sudden and poorly communicated. Data on treatment and medication errors suggest that FMK has not yet produced the desired improvement. In conclusion, the implementation goal has not yet been achieved. Doctors believe FMK could be helpful, but low trust and uneven use mean there has not yet been a decrease in errors or the expected positive effect on patient safety.
