Abstract
This thesis explores how Somali refugees living in the urban area of Eastleigh, Kenya, cope with uncertainty in their everyday lives. It uses three ideas to understand their strategies: social navigation (how people find pathways and adjust to changing conditions), social death (being excluded or made invisible in society), and the informal economy (work and trade that take place outside official rules and institutions).
Denne afhandling undersøger, hvordan somaliske flygtninge i byområdet Eastleigh i Kenya håndterer usikkerhed i deres hverdagsliv.
