Abstract

Recruitment decisions matter for both job applicants and hiring organizations, affecting finances and applicants’ psychological needs. Today, employers often hold most of the power, and applicants’ needs—such as clear, timely information—are frequently overlooked because of limited resources and other constraints. This thesis provides an in-depth view of the recruitment process from the perspectives of key stakeholders and presents the conceptual design of SmartProfile. The project also attracted interest from Organization X. The study includes an investigation of historical hiring data conducted with real data and technical support from the consultancy NTT, which specializes in SAP SuccessFactors (SF). The findings highlight applicants’ concerns about not receiving updates during the process. SmartProfile is proposed as an SF service module that can be integrated into existing SAP SF HR systems. By using historical data, it aims to increase transparency between stakeholders without requiring additional resources from employers.

Rekruttering har stor betydning for både ansøgere og organisationer; den påvirker økonomien og ansøgeres psykologiske behov. I dag sidder arbejdsgivere ofte med magten, og ansøgernes behov—som fx klar, rettidig information—bliver ofte overset på grund af begrænsede ressourcer og andre forhold. Dette speciale giver en dybdegående gennemgang af rekrutteringsprocessen set fra de vigtigste interessenters perspektiv og præsenterer et konceptuelt design af SmartProfile. Projektet vakte også interesse hos Organization X. Undersøgelsen omfatter en analyse af historiske rekrutteringsdata, udført med rigtige data og teknisk støtte fra konsulenthuset NTT, der er specialiseret i SAP SuccessFactors (SF). Resultaterne peger på, at ansøgere er bekymrede over manglende opdateringer under processen. SmartProfile foreslås som et SF-servicemodul, der kan integreres i eksisterende SAP SF HR-systemer.
