Abstract
Human activities are changing the climate and making weather patterns more unstable. To reduce harm and prepare for impacts, many communities use climate action plans. These plans set goals—for example, cutting greenhouse gas emissions and building resilience—and, through collaboration between planners and scientists, outline strategies and actions to achieve them. As climate change continues, this planning must evolve. This research explores how to improve climate action planning by comparing established plans from the Region of Southern Denmark and California's Central Valley.
