Abstract
Formålet med dette speciale, er at undersøge og få en forståelse af sundhedspersonalets oplevelser af at arbejde i organisationer, som gennemgår strukturelle forandringer og hvordan de håndterer disse forandringer. For at belyse de strukturelle forandringer, beskrives den neoliberalistiske- og New public management diskurs, for at se hvad der er med til at skabe strukturelle forandringer. Derudover belyser dette speciale også den påvirkning de strukturelle forandringer kan have for patienterne. Specialet er udformet ved brugen af kvalitative interviews. Disse tre kvalitative interviews er dem der ligger til grund for undersøgelsen. Undersøgelsens fund viser, at sundhedspersonalet kan udvikle strategier til at kunne håndtere det arbejdspres de udsættes for, gennem strukturelle forandringer. Undersøgelsen viser at disse strategier som sundhedspersonalets kan udvikle, kan have konsekvenser for patienterne. Undersøgelsens fund kan illustrere at der kan opstå ulighed mellem patienterne.
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and gain an understanding of the health care professionals' experiences of working in organizations that undergo structural change and how they handle these changes. To illustrate the structural changes, the Neoliberal and the New Public Management discourse are described and analysed to see what contributes to structural change. In addition, the thesis also highlights the impact that structural changes can have on patients. The thesis is designed through the use of qualitative interviews. These interviews form the basis of the investigation. The findings of the study show that healthcare professionals develop strategies for coping with the work pressure they are exposed to through structural change. The study shows that these coping strategies can have consequences for the patients, namely that inequalities may occur between patients.
